Rebuild your pelvic floor, sitting down.
Renew You is a dedicated pelvic health clinic. You sit fully clothed in a HIFEM chair for around 30 minutes while a focused electromagnetic field contracts the whole pelvic floor thousands of times — the muscle work you can't reach on your own.

Sound familiar?
Most people put up with this for years before they mention it.
A weak pelvic floor is common, and it is treatable. These are the things we hear most often at consultation.
- Leaking when you cough, sneeze or laugh
- Leaking on the way to the toilet
- Planning your day around where the loos are
- Needing to go far more often than seems normal
- Getting up in the night to wee
- Heaviness or dragging low down
- A bulge or pressure after a prolapse diagnosis
- Nothing feels the same since having a baby
- Symptoms that arrived with the menopause
- Post-prostate-surgery leaking
- Avoiding running, skipping or lifting
- Doing Kegels and not feeling a thing
- Lower back or core weakness that won't settle
- Not wanting to talk to anyone about it
What we do
Four things, done properly
One treatment sits behind all of it — but what you actually need from us is different depending on why you've come.
Pelvic health
The core of what we do. Stress, urge and mixed incontinence, urgency and frequency, prolapse from mild through to severe, and general pelvic floor weakness.
The chair works the whole muscle group in a way exercises on your own rarely reach. We work alongside your GP and any women's health physio you're seeing — never instead of them.
Postnatal recovery
A proper programme, not just chair time. Free consultation and questionnaire, a course of sessions built around where you actually are, a return-to-exercise plan — what's safe now, what to leave a while, when you can run again — and a check-in at the end to see what's changed.
Whether you gave birth last year or twenty years ago.
Menopause support
Falling oestrogen changes pelvic floor tissue, and a lot of what gets put down to “just getting older” starts here. We treat the pelvic floor side of it.
We don't prescribe and we don't test hormones. What we will do is tell you plainly what else is worth raising with your GP or a menopause specialist, so you're not left guessing.
Men's health
Men are welcome and treated in private, by appointment. Most come to us after prostate surgery, for continence and urgency, or for pelvic floor weakness showing up as back and core trouble.
Same chair, same 30 minutes, fully clothed.
Also worth a conversation if you've quietly stopped running, skipping or lifting heavy — or if lower back and core weakness won't settle. The pelvic floor is part of your deep core, and it's often the bit nobody's looked at.
Menopause support
The pelvic floor side of menopause, taken seriously
Leaking when you laugh or lift, needing the loo more often, a pelvic floor that feels weaker than it used to. These often arrive around perimenopause and after, and hardly anyone asks about them. This is the part we can help with.
A course on the chair
The same HIFEM course as everyone else, aimed at leaks, urgency and weakness. Six sessions is the usual starting point at £500 for the course — no menopause premium. Your consultation confirms what you actually need.
A symptom check, start and finish
At your consultation you fill in a short, standard menopause symptom questionnaire alongside our pelvic floor one. We score it again at the end of your course so you can see what's changed. It's for tracking, not a diagnosis.
Ready for your GP
Hot flushes, sleep, mood and HRT sit with your GP or a menopause specialist, not us. We'll give you a symptom diary and a one-page summary to take to that appointment, so you walk in with it all written down.
Strength, at our gyms
Strength training matters more after menopause, for muscle and for bone. If you want it, we'll set you up with a plan at any of our six TGS gyms as part of keeping your results.
Hormone-free products, on the shelf
We keep a small range of hormone-free products for vaginal dryness and everyday comfort — brands you'd find in any big pharmacy. Ask at your visit, and we'll tell you honestly if you need one at all.
We don't prescribe and we don't test hormones. If anything you tell us needs a doctor, we'll say so plainly.
Replens. Long-lasting vaginal moisturiser.
CanesMeno. Hydration and comfort gel, fine to use alongside HRT.
YES VM. Organic, pH-matched moisturising gel.
Menopace. One-a-day menopause multivitamin.
The treatment
What a HIFEM chair actually does
HIFEM stands for High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic. The chair generates a focused magnetic field that passes straight through clothing and skin to the motor nerves of the pelvic floor, triggering contractions far stronger and far more frequent than you could produce voluntarily.
One 30-minute session delivers the equivalent of thousands of Kegel exercises, and it works the entire muscle group rather than the parts you can consciously find. Over a course of sessions the aim is stronger, better-coordinated muscle and better control of the bladder and bowel.
You stay fully clothed and seated throughout. Most people describe it as a firm tapping or pulling sensation that builds through the session — odd at first, then unremarkable. You can drive home and go straight back to work.
No undressing, no internal examination. You sit on the chair in your own clothes.
No needles, no surgery, no anaesthetic. Nothing enters the body.
Twice a week to start with. Your consultation sets the number of sessions — it varies a lot person to person.
Then maintenance. Once you're where you want to be, most people keep on top of it with 1–2 sessions a month, depending on results.
Some people can't use the chair. Metal implants, a pacemaker, copper coil, pregnancy and a few other conditions rule it out — we check all of this before you book anything.
Your course of treatment
Four stages, in order
Nobody is sold a package before we've worked out what they need.
Free consultation
A private half-hour. You fill in a symptom and medical questionnaire, we go through your history, and we check there's nothing that rules the treatment out.
Your plan
We agree how many sessions your symptoms are likely to need and how often, and what results would look like for you. Six is the usual starting point, and the full cost is confirmed here — nothing is added later.
Your sessions
30 minutes in the chair, fully clothed, typically twice a week at the start. We track how you're getting on and adjust the intensity as you go.
Keeping it
Muscle strength fades if it isn't used. After your course, most people keep on top of it with 1–2 sessions a month, depending on results, either pay as you go or on a monthly plan. If you want it, we'll also set you up with a route back to the running, lifting or classes you'd stopped, at any of our gyms.
Prices
Straightforward, and set before you start
Six sessions is what we recommend for most general pelvic floor issues — but the number that's right for you comes out of a full review at your consultation, not off a price list.
Consultation
A private half-hour with a symptom and medical questionnaire, a full review of what's going on, and a straight answer on whether the chair is right for you.
Course of six
The usual starting point for general pelvic floor issues. Six sessions, typically twice a week to begin with, paid as one course.
Single session
One session on its own — for topping up after a course, or if you'd rather start one at a time.
Keeping your results — after your course
Pelvic floor strength fades if it isn't kept up. Most people keep on top of it with 1–2 sessions a month, depending on results — pay as you go or on a monthly plan.
- Ad hoc top-up session, whenever you need one£100
- Maintenance membership — one session a month£75 /mo
- Maintenance membership — two sessions a month£140 /mo
Some people need fewer than six sessions and some need more — postnatal recovery, prolapse and post-prostate-surgery work in particular. We'll tell you honestly at the consultation, and you'll know the full cost before you commit to anything.
The clinic
A private room, not a waiting list
One clinic, by appointment only, so you're never sitting in a busy waiting area hoping not to bump into someone you know.
Why we opened
We didn't come to this from a clinic. We came to it from the gym floor.
Over ten years running gyms across Nottinghamshire, we lost count of the women who quietly stopped doing things — the class they loved, the running, the skipping, the heavy lift — and who only told us why after months of coming in. Men too, working around it after prostate surgery without saying a word to anyone.
So we went looking for something that would actually help, rather than another set of exercises people can't feel themselves doing. This is what we found. We've invested in it to bring it to our members and to anyone else round here who needs it.
